Mogreet partners with non-profit Linda’s Voice

Mogreet is thrilled to partner with Linda’s Voice, a non-profit that uses creative forums, social action and direct financial assistance to end domestic abuse globally.  Linda’s Voice will be using Mogreet’s mobile messaging solutions to drive donor awareness and action.

This Saturday evening, Melissa Rivers will be hosting the star-studded inaugural sister’s soiree event in honor of Linda’s Voice.  The event will feature live performances by The Kin as well as a live auction featuring work from world-renowned graffiti artist Erik Wahl.

Mobile Can Make a Trip to the Emergency Room a Little Less Painful

Our CFO walked into the Mogreet offices yesterday and informed me he had just been to the ER. Seeing the look of alarm on my face, he quickly informed me it was not for his own emergency, and there was no need for concern. Phew. Then he handed me his phone and showed me a picture he took during his hospital visit. The photo said “Text ER to 23000 for average ER Wait times.”

Hospitals have made great strides in technology beyond patient-care. Many ER waiting rooms now have free wifi and flat-screen televisions, helping ease the pain of waiting to see a doctor. But several hospitals, including HCA, now offer a mobile option to text in for the wait-time of your nearest emergency room. The benefit? You can possibly choose to go to a different hospital, or go to the one you texted, but with an understanding of how long it may take before you are seen. Reducing that “unknown” can help diminish some anguish as well.

I’d like to see this implemented in every hospital system – and even in doctor’s offices. If a hospital can’t afford the cost of mobile messaging, why not sell the service to ad media buyers and let pharmaceutical vendors sponsor it for a month at a time? Heck, it could even become a profit-center instead of a cost. It’s a good bet every patient who visits a hospital walks in the door with a mobile phone. Why not reach them, and let them find you, with valuable information sent directly to their mobile devices.

Eating our own Dogfood: Launching Question of the Week

We’re pretty lucky here at Mogreet since we get to deliver truly cool mobile marketing for our uber hip clients. So to eat our own proverbial ‘dog food’ (or is it “drink our own kool-aide?”), we recently launched a Mogreet mobile marketing program called “Question of the Week” to educate and inform users, as well as demonstrate our killer mobile video capabilities.

Now if only we had our own million-user database to send it to… hummm.

Here is how the campaign works:

Anyone with a question about Mogreet, MMS, SMS, Mobile Video, Mobile Marketing, QR, Mobile Web, mobile statistics, etc… is invited to receive “Question of the Week” alerts by texting the keyword QUESTION to our short code 21534. Once opted-in, you’ll receive a weekly :30 second mobile video question-and-answer featuring one of Mogreet’s mobile experts.

To submit your own question, after opting-in to the campaign, text QOTW [space] then type your question, to short code 21534. We’ll review the questions submitted each week and will choose one to answer in the weekly video alert.
